My School is Cool Program Kicks Off Thursday

How would you you like to spend money at the Colony Square Mall and help your school at the same time. Thursday, the 4th annual My School is Cool program kicks off.

The program allows shoppers to turn in their receipts from stores at the mall in return for points that would go toward their favorite school in Muskingum County.

"At the end of the school year, we’ll total up each school’s points, and based on what percentage they have of the total collected points, they will get a share of a 20,000 dollar pot," said Colony Square Mall’s Kevin Pinson.

The points will be based on dollars spent and not the number of receipts. So far, 13 schools in the county have signed up and there still is room for more.

"Just save your receipt, or you can take them to the school, or we have mailboxes here just outside the food court where you can drop your receipt in. If you need to keep your receipt for returns or warranty purposes, take it to customer service, they will fill out a points pass that you can drop in the mailbox so you can hang onto your receipt," said Pinson.

Including this year’s 20,000 dollar jackpot, the mall has given away around 80-thousand dollars to area schools. For more information, you can visit www.colonysquaremall.com
