Myrtle Ann Brock (July 18, 1926 – December 6, 2010)

Myrtle Ann Brock age 84 of Zanesville, passed away Monday, December 06, 2010 at the Muskingum County Home.

She was born July 18, 1926 in Zanesville to the late Charles and Lulu (Guthridge) Atkinson. She was secretary and bookkeeper for Brock’s Welding and enjoyed playing cards and dominos and was know for her butterscotch pies. Myrtle Ann was also a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.

She leaves a daughter, Linda Bryan and a son, Charlie (Marsha) Brock; four grandchildren: Chase (Kelly) Bryan, Seth (Tonia) Brock, Chad (Renee) Brock and Crystal (Jason) Newell; nine great grandchildren: Timothy and Tiffany Brock, Kaci Sims, Kyler and Liberty Brock, Raevin Brock, Colt Bryan, Gabriella and Preston Newell; one special beautician and niece, Wava Spragg; a lifetime friend, Marge Miller and two special nephews, Jack (Janet) Atkinson of Arizona and Bill (Karen) Atkinson of Sebring, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Brock; a brother, Jack Atkinson and a sister, Jane Killian.

Calling hours will be from 3 – 5 pm and 7 – 9 pm Wednesday December 8, 2010 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. where funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday with Rev. Dr. James Miller officiating. Committal services will follow in St. Paul Cemetery near Sonora.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Muskingum County Home or Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
