NAASEO Hosts 14th Annual ‘Tee it Up Fore Autism’ Golf Outing
ZANESVILLE, OH – A non-profit organization hosted a golf outing Monday to help raise funds for families dealing with an autism diagnosis.
The National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio hosted their 14th annual “Tee it Up Fore Autism” golf outing today at the Zanesville Country Club.
Shannon Coconis, the President of the National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio, said they host the golf outing to raise funds to help families cover treatment for their children.
“We host this primarily to raise money for local families in Southeast Ohio,” Coconis said. “To use for medical treatments and therapies that aren’t covered by insurance.”
Coconis says it was great to see the community’s support in their mission out on the course today.
“In 14 years, we’ve come a long way,” Coconis said. “And it feels good that the community can come out and help us educate not just this little community, but everyone here in Southeast Ohio.”
Coconis said that 90% of the proceeds raised from the golf outing will stay here locally to fund the grants the NAASEO give out to families to help cover treatment costs.
