Nanette B. Stimpson, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 5:05 AM Wednesday April 20, 2011 at her residence following a long illness.
She was born August 3, 1931 in Ogden, UT the daughter of the late Wallace R. and Josephine Manzel Budge. Nanette was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served as organist for over 40 years. She was a guest soloist for several churches, member and past president of the Thursday Music Club, Civic Chorus singing the Messiah, Zane Trace Players, Community Theater and a Volunteer for Zanesville City Schools. Nanette was a very supportive wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, sewing and watching sports especially NBA basketball.
Nanette is survived by her husband of 60 years Dr. Dean L. Stimpson, 3 daughters: Jan (Guy) Davis of Bountiful, UT, Julie (Rick) Drogowski of Syracuse, NY and DeAnn (Jan) Ackley of Cincinnati, OH, son: Dr. Kim (Kelly) Stimpson of Kalispell, MT, 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother: W. Don (Kaye) Budge of Provo, UT, 2 sisters: Laurene (John) Patterson of Grand Prairie, TX and Jody Jackson of Ogden, UT and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sister: Charlene Soelberg, Thomas Budge and Scott Budge.
Visitation for Nanette will be 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 Monday April 25, 2011 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave Zanesville, OH and 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 26, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3300 Kearns Drive, Zanesville, OH. Committal service will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
