National Tourism Week In Muskingum County
Next Sunday kicks off "National Tourism Week" and local businesses and attractions are participating…
Each day will feature special events at designated businesses throughout Zanesville and the vicinity. Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kelly Ashby said over a dozen attractions will be featured through the week. One of the new attractions is the Alpaca farm of Spring Acres.
"We have a great group of tourism destinations here in Muskingum County, and we solicit and ask them who would like to participate, who wants to be involved. So, there’s a wonderful list of those that are offering specials and sales that week," said Ashby.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, Muskingum County tourists spend over 170 million dollars and support over 2,000 jobs annually. But Ashby said National Tourism Week isn’t just for travelers.
"Certainly encourage not only locals to get out and see and explore, but it’s a great way to see what there is in case you have guests in the summer, or your family is visiting. It’s just a great way to get out and see and do."
