Nestle Purina’s Paws-itive Partnership Supports the Animal Shelter Society

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Animal Shelter Society gave a big “paws up” to Nestle Purina this week in recognition of their incredible support.

Nestle Purina was honored with a Paws-itive Partnership plaque from the Animal Shelter Society, recognizing their generous support. As part of their efforts, Nestle Purina donated 50 bags filled with pet blankets and other pet items. These special bags will be sent home with newly adopted pets to help them settle in comfortably. Nestle Purina’s Production Manager Kyle Kinney said being a part of initiatives like this means a lot to him personally.

“The things that Purnia allows associates to donate their time or donate things to allows us to feel that overall community responsibility. When you come to work, you come to work for a reason. You come to support your family, and you come to support the other things that you like to do. This gives you an opportunity to support more than just that. That’s the biggest impact for me personally,” Kinney said.

Partnerships like this are more than just donations, it’s about creating a brighter future for shelter pets. The Animal Shelter Society says Purina’s contributions are helping them go the extra mile for the animals in their care.

“Monetary donations are one of the biggest things we have a need for because we’re a 100% non-profit. The other thing that’s completely priceless is the fact that Nestle Purina believes in our mission, or they wouldn’t be doing this. That lets us know we’re on track to keep up with what we’re doing for the over 100 animals in our organization. It’s just very rewarding.” Animal Shelter Society Executive Director April Gibson said.

With Purina’s help, the pets at the shelter will be heading to their forever homes with a little extra love.
