Neuterama Deemed Successful
The local Animal Shelter is doing its part to cut down on the homeless feline population July 2.
61 male cats were neutered in Zanesville. Cats were checked in throughout the day and they also received discounts on vaccinations. Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Jody Murray said the event ran smoothly thanks to an efficient staff and sponsors like the Brandywine Hospital for Pets and Attorney Sherry Ryan.
“We were a little nervous how it was going to go doing that many in one day but staff has done a great job scheduling things,” said Murray. “Folks have come in on time and so so far everything has gone really well.”
Based on the success and community response of the day, Murray said the Animal Shelter would like to host another day in the coming months.
