New Business Continues Downtown Growth

A growing business has plans to move from the north end of Zanesville and into the heart of the city.

Public relations and marketing specialist for Quality Care Partners, Jennifer Martin, said the business has outgrown its current space on Bell Street and that moving downtown will allow QCP the hope of continued growth.

"We’ve just really outgrown our space," Martin said. "We are up to 43 employees and we’re very excited to move into a larger building and it will help us provide better customer service."

Construction on the Old Doorway to Savings Building, where QCP will move is still ongoing. Martin said the business is in a period of rapid growth and that employees are crowded into every nook and cranny of the Bell Street building.

Zanesville Downtown Association Manager, Dana Matz, said the move is just one piece of the puzzle to revitalize downtown.

"Here we’re going to take an under utilized building and maximize its occupancy which in turn will put more people on the streets in downtown Zanesville," Matz said. "Long term as we continue to do this, more people working downtown, more people living downtown, more services that are needed in the downtown."

He said with QCP moving and other business like Dutro Ford expanding, there are more people entering the downtown area. He said it will only continue to expand.
