New Concord Library to Welcome Author Anne Blackburne

ZANESVILLE, OH – Grab your bookmarks and head over to the New Concord Branch Library this Wednesday for an engaging evening with author Anne Blackburne.

On April 24th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, the talented author of Ruth’s Ginger Snap Surprise will offer attendees a glimpse into the creation of her first novel, discussing everything from her inspiration to the final writing process. This event is a wonderful opportunity for readers and authors alike to gain insight into the world of book writing.

“Anne Blackburne is a Southeastern Ohio author. She will be coming to talk about her current book which is Amish fiction. Amish fiction is a popular genre of books here in Ohio and definitely in Muskingum County. It’s a really wonderful opportunity to come and hear about the process that this author takes to create the books that we have in our library, and we get to read. It’s kind of lifting the veil a little bit on the process of writing and publishing books,” MCLS Marketing and Communications Director, Sean Fennell said.

Blackburne’s Amish fiction novel blend’s themes of romance, the loss of a husband, and the challenge of saving a family farm. At the event, Blackburne will offer a sneak peek at her upcoming book, set to release this summer.

“What’s going to be interesting about this particular author visit is that she has a new book coming out, a sequel. That will be coming out in June. You’ll be able to get a little sneak peek into the next or upcoming book in the series as well,” Fennell said.

To participate in this insightful evening, be sure to register through the Muskingum County Library System’s website.
