New Concord Man Killed in Accident
A multiple vehicle accident leaves one dead.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday, May 2 around 3:45pm they received several 911 calls in reference to an accident in the 1600 block of Pleasant Valley Drive.
When they arrived the said they found 70-year-old Larry J. Confer, of New Concord, was traveling east on Pleasant Valley Drive in a 2002 Chevrolet truck when he went off the right side of the road and struck a fire hydrant.
Authorities said he then came back onto the roadway and went left of center striking a 2005 Jeep Liberty driven by Jennifer Glosser, who was traveling westbound. After hitting the vehicle Confer’s vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.
The sheriff’s office said he was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Mrs Glosser sustained no injuries.
