New Concord Water Main Break

A water main break is causing some problems Wednesday night.

According to New Concord Administrative Assistant Shannon Jackson, crews were alerted to a water main break south of Main St. Crews are out trying to locate the exact location of the leak at this time.

The amount of rain we have received is adding to the difficulty of this task. Once located, crews will begin working to repair the issue. As of now, Jackson said residents on the south side of the 83 bridge are without water.

Areas of Main St. have water but low pressure. Once the repair has been made, Jaskson said a boil advisory will be in effect until lab results confirm the quality of the water.
