New Flashing Sign On Adair Ave

The City of Zanesville and Genesis HealthCare system are teaming up to make an area crosswalk safer.  A flashing light sign has been placed on Adair Avenue at the crosswalk between the Genesis-Good Samaritan parking lot and the Center for Occupational and Outpatient Rehabilitation building.  The flashing sign was placed there to ensure Genesis patients and employees have a safe place to cross between the two facilities.  Zanesville Police says the flashing sign is in place to get motorists attention and to slow down.  If a person is in the crosswalk, drivers must stop.  The sign is solar powered. Pedestrians are urged to be cautious when cross Adair as drivers become familiar with the new sign.
