New Harris Poll Results Show the Importance of Your Local Chamber

ZANESVILLE, OH –The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives has released a poll highlighting the impact and value of chambers of commerce.
The East North Central region, which includes Ohio, Reflects the closest to the national totals, and percentages which shows that many people view their chamber of commerce as a trusted resource and that their chambers of commerce can enhance a business’s reputation and that cambers do serve not only their businesses but communities as well.
“We look forward to that information,” ZM Chamber President Dana Matz said. “It comes about every couple of years, and it lets us know what consumer confidence is in the chamber industry. It also shows that if your business is a member of the Chamber of Commerce that consumers are 64% more likely to use your businesses and services and that they’re 63% more likely to share that information with their friends and family.”
The polling process considered various statistics, including gender, voter registration, generation, and race. The Zanesville Muskingum Chamber offers training and resources for Businesses, but not everyone is aware of their local chamber.
“If you’re not in the business world as far being in management or ownership you may not know much about the Chamber of Commerce. What makes us unique as a chamber is that we’re also the Convention of Business Bureau, the Zanesville Downtown Association, the Muskingum Growth Partnership and the Muskingum County Emerging Leaders. We’re more than just the traditional Chamber of Commerce because we serve our community in multiple ways and multiple age points.”
Additionally, Matz would like to inform businesses that the Corporate Transparency Act has been overturned again, extending the deadline to January 17th.
