New Year, Same OSU Rivalries: Ring in the New Year at The Barn

ZANESVILLE, OH –The holiday season is officially nearing its end as the countdown to the new year begins

Popular spots like the barn are preparing for a night of fun to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The Barn will be offering specials all day on menu items, including ribs, sauerkraut, cabbage, and other delicious options to keep everyone full and entertained while heading into 2025.

Owner of The Barn Jim Watson is excited for all of the New Year festivities.

“We’ve got a countdown to the last 25-year top songs, DJ Huffy will be down here spinning the tables and making sure those songs are a lot of fun for people, and we hope people can get freed up to come down and join us and have a great, safe holiday.”

To ensure safe transportation after the celebrations, The Barn will have their Barn Bus operating for post- New Year’s Eve Rides, and local cabs will also be available to get you to and from the event. For all the Buckeye fans in Zanesville, don’t forget that O-S-U will be facing Oregon in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day at 5p.m.

“When it comes to game time this is the place in Zanesville to watch the game. I know this one’s an away game so if you don’t have other plans come down, we’re going to have all the TVs tuned in. It’s definitely a game day like atmosphere down here. It’s like the stadium,” Watson said. “There have even been a few Oregon fans that have told me they’re going to be down so if you want to heckle back and forth come on down and enjoy the game.”

The Barn will be open during regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
