New Years at Noon at The Works

NEWARK, OH- The Works, a center for history, art and technology in Newark had their New Years at Noon party today.
This is their 3rd year putting on the event, and each year they continue to see growth. The theme for this year was a pajama party.
“So, the closest Saturday to New Years we always do New Years at Noon here at The Works, at noon we do a balloon drop, a confetti cannon, there is programming throughout the day, usually it’s an 11 to 12:30 time frame, it makes a huge mess but it’s so much fun,” said Sadie Burger, the Director of Education at The Works.
The event was started as a way to offer kids who normally don’t get to stay up late on New Years and participate in the festivities to still have that experience of bringing in the New Year.
“So it’s general admission but with general admission you can get access to the entire facility, so you get to watch a Sci Dome show, you get to do the additional program materials we have out for New Years, you can see our inner urban street car, you can see a glass blowing demo, so you get so much more than just New Years at Noon when you pay that general admission cost,” said Burger.
