New Year’s Day accident injures One

 The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a New Year’s Day crash that sends one to the hospital.

Authorities say that 28-year-old Ryan McQuiston of Plainfield was traveling north on County Road 151 around 3am Friday when he drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

McQuiston was taken to Coshocton Memorial Hospital and later taken by Medflight to The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Sheriff’s officials say that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. McQuiston was cited for failure to control, no safety belt and operating a vehicle impaired.
