Newark Armed Robbery Investigated
The Newark Police Department says on Sunday a Duke store was robbed. It happened around 12:00 in the morning at 1919 Mt Vernon Road. Police describe the suspect as a white male, between 25 to 35 years old, thin build and six feet tall. He was wearing a camouflaged coat, black toboggan, and blue jeans. He pulled a knife and demanded money from the clerk by saying “why don’t you give me all the money in your drawer, darling.†The suspect made off with an undermined amount of cash on foot.
