Newark police seeking information on possible child enticement

NEWARK, Ohio– Newark Police are looking for information regarding recent possible attempted child enticements.

On September 9, 2019, at about 3:35 p.m., officers responded to the area of 580 Mt. Vernon Road on a suspicious vehicle with a white male driver who attempted to have a conversation with a female juvenile.

The juvenile moved to safety and was not harmed. The vehicle was described as a white van with no additional information.

On October 1, 2019 at about 6:50 a.m., officers responded to the area of Mill Street and Washington Street on a report of a suspicious white van with a white male driver who approached a female juvenile, who was not harmed and made it to safety.

At this point in the investigation, it is undetermined if the vehicles or persons in the above stated reports were the same.
