Newark shooting investigation

NEWARK, Ohio–Newark Police continue to investigate a shooting that happened Tuesday night at an apartment complex .

Newark Police, along with officers from Heath Police and the Licking County Sheriff’s Office,responded around 7:30 p.m. to 327 Union Street, building C on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Shaqkeim L. Lloyd of Newark had been shot multiple times.

Police say Lloyd was flown to OSU Wexner Medical Center where his current condition is believed to not be life threatening.

Detectives  say the incident involved several different areas and at least one vehicle.

The shooting remains under investigation and no arrests have been made at this time.
