Night Paving on Interstate 70

Get ready for construction on Interstate 70 this week.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will start a resurfacing project between U.S. 40 and State Route 93. Nightly lane closures for pre-phasing work will begin on Tuesday, July 6 from 9pm to 6am. Motorists can expect minimal traffic impacts until October 2021.

This is part of the project to reconstruct I-70 through Zanesville. Full reconstruction will start west of the LIcking Road overpass, including Maple Avenue ramps and Maple Avenue at the end of the ramps and east of the abandoned railroad overpass.
