Noodles & Company supports local animal shelter

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A new restaurant in Zanesville opened their doors Tuesday to benefit the Animal Shelter Society.
Noodles & Company on Maple Ave. had a mock training day for all new employees. Lunch was free for all customers, but the company asked that each customer make a $5 donation to the Animal Shelter Society.
Jody Murray, the Executive Director, said all donations will go directly to the shelter.
“We’re standing outside with some dogs and letting people see our dogs, said Murray. We are also handing out information and things like that.”
Murray said they are well supported by local businesses, but they are really excited that a national chain wanted to support the shelter.
Murray estimated that about 200 people came through the restaurant and made a donation to the shelter.
