Norma Mae Near

ZANESVILLE

Norma Mae Near, 88 of Zanesville passed away Monday December 12, 2016 at Cedar Hills Nursing Home. She was born June 19, 1928 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Soller Pickrell. She worked at Dean’s Jewelry and Hallmark Cards. She is survived by her son David (LeAnn) Near of Zanesville; grandson’s Bryan (Heather) Near and Nathan (Emily) Near; great granddaughter’s Isabelle and Ila Near; two sisters Marjorie Rickman and Betty Drake.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Near; six brothers Bill, Dick, Ed, Fred, Ted and Jim Pickrell; three sisters Alene Plummer, Evelyn Sheets and Jean Yarger.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Friday December 16, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
