North Terrace Church of Christ to Host Taste and See Event

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local church is getting ready to host a day full of food, fun, and new friends.

This Sunday, June 9th, from 5 to 8PM the North Terrace Church of Christ is hosting their second annual Taste and See event.

Stephanie Hill, the Community Engagement Coordinator at North Terrace Church of Christ, says there will be food trucks as well as local organizations that are looking to connect with community members.

“It’s just an event for community organizations, non-profits, and ministries to kind of showcase to the community what services they offer, what they do.” Hill said. “Hopefully to help educate the community and also help these organizations maybe recruit some volunteers, or some financial support.”

Hill said last year’s event was rained out and they had to move the event inside of the Church.

She says this year the weather looks promising so they are looking to host this event on the Church’s front lawn.

Hill also says this event is great to showcase some of the local organizations that some community members might not know about.

“You know, there are probably even locally, organizations that exist that you’ve never even heard of.” Hill said. “So you’ll go, visit their booth, and you might learn something new, or you’ve heard of them but didn’t really understand what they did. So I think it’s a great way, just for members of the community to be educated about what organizations exist here, what services they offer, , you might be able to benefit from one of these organizations does.”
