November ArtCoz Artist of the Month

ZANESVILLE, OH – Another month has come and gone which means it’s time for the First Friday Art Walk.
This month’s featured ArtCoz artist is an iron and steel worker named Denny Mozena. Mozena says he got into working with metal when he was younger.
“Working with metal started when I was around 7 or 8-year-old,” Mozena said. “I was helping my dad in my grandfather’s old shop, repairing farm equipment and that’s how I fell in love with doing this.”
Mozena says he truly enjoys creating and making pieces that other artists can’t or wouldn’t think to make. He has been able to do iron work at Martha Stewart’s estate in Connecticut and he has fenced in the burial place of James Buchanan, the 15th President. But, Mozena says his favorite job he has done was for Charles Schulz.
“One of the coolest jobs I’ve done was for Charles Shulz, the creator behind Snoopy,” Mozena said. “We created wine racks for his wine cellar.”
Mozena will have his art on display this Friday from 5 to 9 P.M. and BunkoJess’ gallery, located at 126 Muskingum Ave, right next to Weasel Boy Brewing Company.
