"It’s a part that means a great deal to me to be able to go out and meet people individually and to speak with them so I think this is the part where I can actually make a contribution, so it’s for me to be involved in that way," said volunteer Michael McVicker.

Obama supporters are making every effort they can to keep their man in office, especially on the President’s 51st birthday.

That includes going door to door, and for small communities, that’s the best way for volunteers to assist in Obama’s re-election campaign.

There are 93 days left until the election, and time is beginning to run out for both candidates. As it gets closer, the race to the White House will heat up even more.

"I’m looking forward to the debates so America can look at both candidates side by side. I think everything is going to intensify now for people that actually care for the political process," said McVicker.

Obama’s re-election campaign has an office on Northpointe Drive in Zanesville.
