ODOT Issues Driving Tips Ahead of Winter Weather

Odottuesday

The Ohio Department of Transportation has over 1,100 plows out around Ohio as a winter storm moves into our area.

ODOT said as plows work on roadways to please give them room to work. They said if you can’t see the plow’s mirrors, the driver can’t see you. You should stay at least 3 car lengths behind.

They also said to avoid passing plows. Plows travel below the speed limit for safety, passing is risky due to snow clouds and hidden obstacles.

ODOT also asks motorists to be patient and watch for sudden stops.
