Ohio LIvestock Board Members Appointed

Governor Ted Strickland is appointing 10 members to the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board, including Stacey Atherton of Newark.

Atherton has been a 4-H advisor since 2006. She served as manager of Shipley Farms for three years and then took the role of co-owner in 2009.

Atherton will serve on the 13 member board, which was constructed after State Issue 2 passed in November of last year. The Ohio Department of Agriculture Director also serves on the board as well as a selection from the House Speaker and the Senate President.
