The open house had tours and a few exhibitions including one of the nursing program and planned renovations to Herrold Hall. We spoke with Interim Dean Tom Davis about some of the history of the branch campus.

“This is the 70th Anniversary Ohio University Zanesville,” said Davis.   “Actually starting in a local high school but ended up having the groundbreaking for our current campus 25 years later.”

Davis also spoke on the importance of regional campuses to both community and him personally.

“I actually started as a regional campus student back in 1968 at the Lancaster campus and have taught on this campus on many occasion out of The Ohio University Athens campus,” said Davis.  “I have a very good and sound sense of the contributions that regional campuses make to community and to the local citizens of the Muskingum County area.”

If interested in touring the school yourself you may call the student center at 740-588-1439.
