OUZ/Zane State College Celebrate Fall Fest

ZANESVILLE, OH – Two local colleges hosted their annual Fall Fest for students and faculty.

Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College hosted their Fall Fest out on the Campus Green on Wednesday.

Heather Sands, the Manager of Communications and External Relations at OUZ, said this event is a great opportunity for students to check out something new.

“Area agencies and businesses come and set up, but it’s also a main opportunity for students to learn about clubs from Zane State College and Ohio University Zanesville,” Sands said. “So that way the joint campus can come together and showcase everything students have opportunities to do here on campus.”

Students and professors alike were out enjoying the warm weather, tables full of local resources, food, and games.

Teara Pierce, a College Credit Plus Advisor at Zane State, said Fall Fest is like a holiday for the schools and it was great to see everyone out as one big community.

“It actually connects the campuses, even though there are two different campuses, into one whole facility,” Pierce said. “Which I really love because it brings our students together, they’re able to showcase the different clubs they have between the two campuses, highlight programs, students have the opportunity to network with different organizations in our community and overall it’s a great time for students to kick back and relax in between their classes.”
