OMEGA Hosts Annual Membership Meeting

COSHOCTON, OH – The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association held its annual membership meeting on March 26th at the Roscoe Village Visitors Center.

Dr. Vicki King-Maple, alongside Kennedy Webb, took center stage as the keynote speakers for this year’s meeting. Their presentation, titled “Paving the Pathway to Prosperity” offered a forward-looking perspective on regional development strategies and growth.

“Paving the Pathway to Prosperity is the theme for our Appalachian Community Grant Program application that we submitted back in December. We are awaiting to hear a word back from the state on that. We as a region came up with that topic and theme from our members and our executive members. The funding that is available for that program is so transformative and so life changing. We really think that it is going to be a wonderful segway and a way to build the prosperity and progress that we’ve already made in the region,” OMEGA Communications Manager, Kennedy Webb said.

The meeting also featured the presentation of the 2023 OMEGA Annual Reports. These reports highlighted the organization’s accomplishments over the past year.

“OMEGA secured $3,159,097 in federal and state ARC and GOA funding for communities in the region. For every $1 invested by ARC and GOA, our region leveraged $10.31 in additional investments for a total return on investment of $35,648,344. We are very proud about that,” Webb said.
