On The Fly with Aniyah and Shy: 179th Muskingum County Fair Offers Fun for All Ages

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Muskingum County Fair is in full swing, bringing together rides, games, and plenty of fair food for its 179th year. Visitors can enjoy everything from carnival thrills to funnel cakes, lemonade, and livestock shows throughout the week.

Fairgoers say the best part of the event is the atmosphere.

“My favorite part is probably being here with all the kids I used to show when I was younger and now being an advisor,” one attendee said. “It’s one of my favorite things being down here at the horse arena watching all the kids do something they love.”

Others point to rides, games, and spending time with friends as highlights. “Probably all the rides… I just like seeing my friends honestly,” another fairgoer shared.

Whether you come for the animals, the entertainment, or just a sweet treat, the Muskingum County Fair is the place to be this week.
