Organizers Gear up for ‘Pottery Lovers Week’

ZANESVILLE, Oh- America’s longest running pottery gathering is just days away.
Thousands of local residents and visitors are gearing up for the 2016 ‘Pottery Lovers Week.’ Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, Kelly Ashby, said this a great way to celebrate our heritage.
"Pottery companies have been in Muskingum County for many, many, many years and this is just a wonderful time of year to reacquainted with pottery friends, pottery enthusiast and just folks from all over the United States that come in to buy, sell and trade pottery," said Ashby.
The festivities kick off on Tuesday July 12th and go on until Saturday July 16th. Ashby said having the event in Muskingum County will make a huge economic impact in the community.
"Thousands of folks comes in from all over the United States and they shop, they eat, they buy. They do a lot of fun things while they’re in the area, it’s just great when we have large groups come into Muskingum County," said Ashby.
