OUZ Kicks off New Semester with a Pizza Party
ZANESVILLE, OH – Ohio University Zanesville started the semester on a delicious note today with a Presidential Pizza Party.
The event brought together students, faculty, and staff for a slice of fun and to celebrate the new academic year. The Pizza Party was sponsored by the Office of the President, and was a filled with laughter, great conversations, and of course, plenty of pizza.
“It’s a really good way to start the semester because it gets students out into the atrium and to kind of get the feel for college and then meet with their friends, meet with faculty, and just come together and have a good time while eating some food,” OUZ Student, Lauren Johnson said.
Adding to the excitement of the new semester, there are several events planned in the coming weeks, including the highly anticipated Fall Fest and insightful talks from mental health speakers.
“There are a lot of things that are in store. Different kinds of events that are coming, Fall Fest will be coming in a few weeks. All sorts of things are going to be happening throughout the year. We have a mental health speaker that’s going to be coming on September 10th. I think you all will hear more about that in time. But we’re excited about that that’s a community event and we’ve arranged other things. Just events of different sorts and fun kinds of things that are going to be here for faculty, staff, and students, and the community too,” Hannah Nissen, the Campus Dean said.
