OUZ Nursing: A Day in the Life
ZANESVILLE, OH – Tuesday, Ohio University Zanesville held its “Day in the Life of Nursing” event.
The OUZ faculty and recruiters welcomed all nursing students and those interested in the nursing program. Career Development Coordinator Summer Jacobs offered insights on the event.
“Every single table is full of recruiters,” Jacobs said. “They are here to tell students about different jobs that are available, either right now while they’re in school or upon graduation. We have a lot of different things here, including free swag, which I’m sure the students are very excited about.”
Many of the recruiters in attendance were accepting applications. Recruiters encouraged students to bring a copy of their resumes and connect with them and each other at the job fair before the panel discussion began.
“I just hope that the students have a good time, I hope they take all of the information in. I know that there are a ton of different nursing jobs out there, a ton of different things to decide upon. Hopefully, this event can help the students make those types of decisions, as well as provide insight into job shadowing or opportunities they can pursue while they’re in school for later on.”
The “Day in the Life of Nursing” event provided an opportunity for students to network with recruiters, gain valuable career insights, and learn about potential job opportunities in the field. Making these students one step closer to finding their place in the ever-growing field of healthcare.
