OUZ to Host EduConnect Alumni Reunion

ZANESVILLE, OH – Ohio University Zanesville is inviting their Education Alumni back for a day full of fun and friends.

The EduConnect Alumni Reunion will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 3 to 5PM on the OUZ Campus Green.

Teri Peasley, an Associate Professor of Instruction in Early Childhood & Elementary Education Program at OUZ, said this is a chance for alumni to not only catch up with old classmates but professors as well.

“It’s an opportunity for our alumni to come back to campus to connect with each other, share stories, connect with their former professors,” Peasley said. “They can bring their families or their children, we’ll have plenty of activities for them to do. Of course, for us, it’s fun to meet their kiddos and really it’s just an opportunity for us to connect with each other and hear what’s been going on.”

Peasley said this event is also a learning opportunity for the University to see how they can better serve their students and alumni.

“The motivation behind it really is to bring students back to our campus to remember the experiences that they’ve had,” Peasley said. “But also, again as I said, to explain to us and talk to us about the things that they’re experiencing in the schools. What challenges are they having? What kinds of successes have they experienced? Are there things we can do to further support them?”
