Pair of Zanesville athletes signs to play at Ohio Dominican

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Two Zanesville soccer players have signed to play collegiately at the DII level.
Both Aaron Ashby and Karissa Weekley have signed their names to play at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus.
Ashby started for four years with the Blue Devils. In his career he scored 12 goals and had 23 assists and was second team All-Ohio. Ashby, who also was the kicker for the Zanesville football team and captained the swim team, said he also considered attending Dayton, Muskingum, and Denison.
Weekley was a member of three ECOL championship soccer teams while scoring 24 career goals and adding 24 assists. Weekley was team captain her senior year and was twice named first team All-ECOL. She listed Youngstown State and Muskingum as other schools she had interest in.
Ohio Dominican is a DII school and they are joining the Great Midwest Athletic Conference this season.
