Parents Charged With Restraining Child
The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a domestic violence call and found a pen used to confine a 4-year-old girl. Deputies say it happened in the 8700 block of Lancaster-Thornville Road. Investigators say as deputies were processing the complaint Tuesday inside the home they saw a lower bunk with steel mesh wrapped around it to confine a 4-year-old girl. Deputies say the pen had an access door with a screen-door hook and sliding deadbolt lock. The parents of the child are identified as 34-year-old Russell Terry and 32-year-old Jamie Curnell. Both have been charged with kidnapping and child endangerment. The two are being held in the Fairfield County Jail on 500-thousand dollar bond. The incident remains under investigation.
