Patrol: Alcohol Suspected In Fatal Accident

The Cambridge Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident. It happened Friday morning just before 2:30 in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Cambridge. Troopers say 28-year-old Gabriela Young of Wheeling, West Virginia was traveling east on I-70 and went off the right side of the road and struck a disabled semi tractor trailer that was on the right berm. The patrol says a passenger, 28-year-old Ebony Green also from Wheeling, West Virginia was ejected from the vehicle. The Guernsey County Coroner pronounced Green dead at the scene. The Highway Patrol says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident and possible felony charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
