The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol says it’s still investigating the accident that shut down I-70 Wednesday night for around 7 hours. Troopers say it happened near Norwich in the westbound lanes after a Fed Ex Truck drove off the highway and landed in a creek. There was another accident that also occurred involving four vehicles and two semi trucks. One driver in the second crash has been cited. The first accident remains under investigation. Three people were taken to Genesis with non-life threatening injuries. The Ohio EPA was called to oversee the clean-up of a diesel spill into the creek. The accident happened at 5:00 pm and I-70 was not reopened until 12:30 Thursday morning.
