Peggy J. Smith (December 12, 1931 – October 28, 2010)

Peggy Smith 78 of Avondale passed away on Thursday October 28, 2010 after an 18 month long courageous battle with cancer, at the Villa Angela Care Center in Columbus. She was born in Beaver Dam, KY to the late A.T. and Bessie McFarland Haven on December 12, 1931. She and her husband Clayton were the owners of the Candles by Smith Shop in Avondale and was a homemaker. She lived for her kids and grandkids and loved to play Skip-Bo and Checkers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by three sons: Danny Roy Smith of FL, Lanny Jay (Esther) Smith of MS, Ricky A. (Nita) Smith of SC and four daughters: Deborah (Walter) Wamack of Crooksville, Roxanne (Mike) Kern of Roseville, Joyce (Paul) Wamack of Zanesville and Peggy (Mark) Paul of Zanesville. Two sisters: Kathryn Hinkle of Henning, IL and Ruth Hinkle of Collinsville, IL. 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her loving husband Clayton Smith in 2000, two sons Larry Joe Smith and Clayton Smith, two brothers James Haven and Johnny Haven.
Visitation will be held on Monday November 1, 2010 from 2- 4 and 6-8 PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 33 NORTH MAIN ST ROSEVILLE, OH.
Funeral services will be at 11am on Tuesday November 2, 2010 at The Roseville Chapel of the Snouffer Funeral Home with Pastor Al Laese officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
