Perry Co. Schools Locked Down Wednesday

Moxahala- Perry County Sheriff William Barker said he’s saddened by a Wednesday morning incident, where a male was found deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The sheriff’s office said they were dispatched around 7:25am to a residence on Township Road 201 in Crooksville, in reference to a male who attempted suicide with a firearm. The male wasn’t at the residence when they arrived. The caller said that he’d threatened to shoot himself and mentioned a school in the conversation, but she couldn’t remember if he’d referenced a specific school. He made no threats of violence towards others.
