Perry Co. Sheriff’s Office Investigation
The Perry County Sheriff’s Office has located a deceased male with a gunshot wound. The male was the subject of an earlier reported suicide attempt.
Authorities said while they searched for the subject schools in Perry County were placed on a lockdown as a precautionary measure. The sheriff’s office said that there is no ongoing threat to the schools and districts have lifted their lockdowns.
Deputies are on scene and are investigating the incident. The Perry County Sheriff’s Office will provide further information when it becomes available.
