Perry County Fatal Accident Investigated

The Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in Perry County.  It happened Saturday just before 11:00 p.m. on State Route 757 in Hopewell Township.  Troopers say 46-year-old Tammy M. Smith of Zanesville was driving a 2004 Cadillac Escalade south on SR 757 when she traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and the vehicle came to rest of its left side.  Smith was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.   The Patrol says the crash remains under investigation and alcohol is suspected.
