Perry County Mine Sold

A big Perry County mine has been sold. Buckingham Coal, which operates an underground mine in Perry County – has sold to the Westmoreland Coal Company. The sale price was 34-million dollars. Westmoreland is headquartered in Colorado and operates mines across the country and in Canada. Westmoreland is the oldest independent coal company in the United States.
