Pet of the week
Zanesville, Ohio- Another week and that means, it’s another time to enjoy, the pet of the week.
This three year old cat is Buttons. She is a Maine Coon mixed cat, and she’s looking for a home.
“We always encourage people to come in and spend sometime with her,” said Executive director Jody Murray. We have visitation rooms here. We want to make sure there’s a good connection and a good bond. Obviously adopting a cat is a long term commitment.”
Murray said Buttons is ready to be adopted after having her surgry. The adoption fee is $60. Buttons does well with bonding with other animals and different situations.
“She actually copes pretty well with being in the carrier and riding in the car,” said Murray. “She does pretty well with meeting new people. I think she would adapt to someone’s house pretty quickly.”
For those looking to meeting Buttons and other animals, there will be an Ice Cream Social on June 29th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl will be providing the ice cream and at the social for those, truly adventurous, a doggie kissing booth.
