Pet of the Week
The Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week, Smokey, is in need of a forever home.
The schnauzer-mix has been awaiting his new home for almost a month now. Executive director, Jody Murray, said he is a fun-loving dog, who gets along well with both people and other animals.
“He came into the shelter the 1st of July, he’s about three months old, about 13 pounds,” Murray said. “His adoption fee is $135, then you would have his dog tags on top of that, and he’s already been neutered, up-to-date on shots, so he is available for adoption.”
Murray also wanted to remind people that the Animal Shelter’s biggest fundraiser is right around the corner. The annual auction will be held on October 10, at Eagle Sticks Golf Club.
“We’re going to be sending letters out to some of the businesses in terms of helping sponsor, but we just kind of wanted to let everyone know that’s when the date is,” he said.
