Pet of the Week and Animal Shelter Society Fundraisers

Camo

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week at the Animal Shelter Society we meet our Pet of the Week, Camo.

Camo does well with children, is very rambunctious, and loves toys and attention.

“This is Camo, Camo came to us in May surrendered by the owner, said they didn’t have enough time for him. He’s 8 years old, he is dog selective, we haven’t had any issues with any of his meet and greets, and he doesn’t seem to have any issues with cats or the children that he meets out here,” Board of Directors Secretary April Cohagen-Gibson said.

So far this year the Animal Shelter Society has had to cancel four different fundraising events, they would like to thank those who helped put on their first fundraiser of the year.

“Our first fundraiser of the year that we were permitted to have was Putt for Paws, it was our second annual golf outing and it was wonderful to be with the folks, it was wonderful for the supporters, the chairmen, our board member Josh Agin did an excellent job. We could not have done it without the community support, our hole sponsors, and especially our Top Dog sponsors that we have here on the sign. We cannot say thank you for permitting us to take care of the homeless animals of Muskingum County.”

The next fundraiser planned is their second annual Day in the Dog House event on September 16th. If you would like to participate you can call the shelter at 740-452-1077.
