Pet of the Week: Rowdy Boy

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society is always looking for forever homes and families for their adorable animals.
Meet Rowdy Boy. He is an 11 weeks old neutered domestic short hair kitten. Rowdy Boy has been with the shelter since April, and has a high energy personality where he likes to wrestle and enjoys his toys to play with. He is great with other animals and people.
“He is just a very loving little guy. Had several siblings when he came into us. He obviously gets along with people very well, loves to be held, just an all around good little kitty,” said Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray.
Rowdy Boy has spent time in foster care where he has learned how to be social around people. That makes the adoption process easy for the kitten to transition into a new home and family.
“Whenever we get kittens in and they are in a foster home, what makes it really cool with them is that they’re in a family, they’re getting lots of touching, lots of care, lots of love,” said Murray.
“Our little kittens that come from foster, they are just super and immediately want to attach to you,” he added.
Murray mentioned that their Paws and Claws Summer Jam event was a success. They will also be holding an ice cream social event on June 27th with Tom’s Ice Cream from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you are interested in adopting Rowdy Boy, he is up to date on all his shots and his adoption fee is $70.
