Pet Valu Presents Check to Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local pet business raised money to help the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.
The Zanesville Pet Valu presented a check to the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center for $10,000. Over the course of six months, from October to March, Pet Valu sold calenders featuring pictures of dogs from the adoption center.
“We are all about the rescues, adoption centers in town, we are very oriented towards them. We’d rather help the community animals and fur babies that need our help, rather than not,” said Pet Valu Assistant Manager, Brandee Grant.
Muskingum County Dog Warden, Bryan Catlin said they are extremely grateful for the check. He said the adoption center will use the money towards medical needs for the dogs which include any unknown surgeries, dental work, or severe injuries.
“Now that funds are available for donations, the dogs now have more of a chance to get fixed. Get the medical needs that are necessary. And potentially have a an adopted family for that reason,” he said.
Grant also said the whole region of the company raised up to $30,000 to give to three rescue centers, including the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.
