Phillips Meat Processing Provides Holiday Cookout Tips!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The day was just beginning but, the Zanesville Farmers Market was booming with business Saturday morning.
Dale Phillips is the owner of Phillips meat processing located off of Ridge Road here in Zanesville. The family owned business sells hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, chicken plus more. Phillips provided some tips on how to make your 4th of July cookout a success.
"You need to make sure your product is well cooked. It needs to be above 160 degrees, nobody wants to get sick for the 4th. I guess that’s basically the main thing that needs to happen, make sure everything is thoroughly cooked," said Phillips.
Phillips said his business has been apart of the Zanesville’s Farmers’ Market since 1995 and said the basis of their wholesale business comes from the farmers market.
"If we didn’t have the support from the community we wouldn’t be here, plain and simple. My family wouldn’t survive, we would all be out doing different things. It’s very important that the community supports us," said Phillips.
Phillips said if you missed them here today you can find their products at your local grocery stores.
